How does JobSmack work?
JobSmack utilizes a cutting edge profiling and matching system to pre-screen and pre-qualify
candidates based on your job requirements. Candidates that have been automatically matched to
your job, and have approved the job, will appear in your inbox under the given job post, ranked
according to how well they matched up against both your job order and other candidates.
You may view their profile and resume (if attached) by clicking on their name. You will also
receive “unsolicited” applicants, which are submissions from job seekers that came across your
job post by searching the jobs database and wished to apply for the position.
Can I search the candidate database?
You cannot search the candidate database! JobSmack was designed to save you time by automatically
pre-screening, pre-qualifying, and ranking candidates, and then providing all the necessary information
for you to evaluate, contact and hire the right individual for the job.
How do I create a job post?
To create a job post you have to first purchase job orders from a JobSmack agent. When you
create your account, JobSmack is automatically notified, and will contact you within one
business day to process your job order purchase and activate your account. Once you have
purchased a job order, a link will appear below your name in your inbox, which will allow
you to create a job post.
How long is my job post active?
Job posts expire after 30 days, at which point you may repost the same job, or purchase new job
orders. When you post a job, the expiration date is automatically calculated, and will appear
as the close date on the job post.
How do I view a candidates’ resume?
You can only view a candidates’ resume if they have attached it to their profile.
If it is attached to their profile you may double click on the resume icon to either download or view the resume.
What is job forecasting?
Forecasting is a feature that allows you to preview the prospective number of candidates that match your
job before you decide to post it. Based on the candidate forecast you may either edit your job to increase
or decrease the number of applicants who will receive your job, save the job to your inbox to post or edit
at a later date, or post the job as is. You can forecast and refine your job post as many times as you like
before you decide to post it, however, you cannot edit a job post once you have posted it.
How do I know how many job posts I have left?
JobSmack keeps track of all your job posts in your inbox, and lets you know how many jobs you have left, and which posts are active.
How do I repost a job?
JobSmack allows you duplicate closed job orders in your history folder and repost them by clicking on the
job description and hitting the duplicate job button. The entire job order will be replicated and
displayed for editing, if necessary. Once you have made any applicable changes you may forecast, save or post the job.
